Let's get to know each other

self portrait

If you’ve made it this far, I guess you’d like to get to know the person behind the camera.

I’m the face behind Larsen Studios, and when I’m not photographing beautiful families, tiny newborns, weddings, or empowering women through boudoir sessions, you’ll probably still find me behind a camera/phone creating product photography and UGC content. If I can work from the comfort of my own home, you’ll hear absolutely no complaints from me!

I don’t mind admitting life has thrown me a few curveballs. I live with chronic pain and chronic health conditions, and more recently I’ve been learning that I have CPTSD, ADHD, and possibly autism. It’s been a journey of figuring out who I am and learning to work with my brain instead of against it. Some days are harder than others, but it’s also taught me to slow down and appreciate the little things.

I’m married, a proud mum to my incredible 22-year-old daughter, i also am a step nan have 2 step grandkids i adore.  and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by nature. friends  I’m a little bit spiritual, I love crystals, I believe everything happens for a reason, and you’ll often find me stopping to photograph a sunset, flowers, mushrooms… or literally anything that catches my eye.

People are often surprised to hear that I’m actually really shy. Big groups aren’t my thing, and if I had to choose between a packed room and a quiet afternoon with my camera, I’d choose my camera every single time. But once I’ve got that camera in my hands, something changes. My focus isn’t on me anymore—it’s on you.

I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. To worry about how you look in photos or think you’re awkward in front of the camera. That’s why I work so hard to make people feel seen, comfortable, and accepted exactly as they are. You don’t need to know how to pose, you don’t need to be “photogenic,” and you definitely don’t need to be perfect.

I’m a little quirky. I swear more than I probably should. I laugh at myself often. I’ll probably get excited over good light or ask you to stand in a paddock because “trust me, it’ll look amazing.” I don’t take life too seriously, and I don’t expect you to either.

For me, photography has never been about perfect smiles or Pinterest-perfect poses. It’s about the real stuff. The chaos. The belly laughs. The tears. The cuddles. The moments you don’t realise are important until years later.

Those are the memories worth holding onto.

And if you think we’d get along… I’d absolutely love to tell your story.

"How wonderful to be who I am, made out of earth and water, my own thoughts, my own fingerprints — all that glorious, temporary stuff."
